Please post what you consider a WEAKNESS for downtown Camden.
For example, the lack of daily foot traffic in downtown is a weakness.
The strategic planning process will help us generate alternatives to solve this problem.

This is more for the south end of Broad Street and Rutledge. We need to figure out a way to get the business owners to realize the loitering is not a good reputation to have. If the people are not being serviced on the inside then they have no business standing on the outside. I think that there needs to be more foot traffic from police officers that can help the store owners move unwanted and negative attention away from their store front. I know that this is an issue and until we get a handle on that, people will continue to think twice before opening a new business or walking the streets. This is just my feeling, but again this has to be a joint effort from the business owners and the police and guidelines for downtown Camden businesses. We need a business owners association!!! (Nothing wrong with wishful thinking)
